This is the first of Tangle Edge`s two only Oslo-concerts. This one is from 1993. The title doesn`t show the band going into jazz-standards or similar, but the venue "Blue Monk" was a jazz place in the Norwegian capital, and it`s small audience on this night were very enthusiastic. The band delivered an energetic performance and debuted "The Glorious `No Doubt`-Trilogy", the second last of their major pieces from the 90s on this night. Their repertoire for the decade was established at this time and the sound was refined with the addition of Horrigmoe`s new six-string bass and amplification. Most parts of "Sumerian/Transcription" had upgraded grooves, tunes like "The Sun Of Tuesday" was not played here and only as an encore on this tour, while "Solorgy" was only played in Bergen and for the very last time. Everything was about current musical delevopments. This concert has earlier been semi-officially available on cassette in the "Tangle Edge Tapes"-series.

My experience of the album focuses to vague hints of four riders symbol in western culture, culminating in paintings of father and son, both descended to the ultimate reality to where the four riders eventually lead us all. Though most of physical world and life in general may appear as null, there are scarcely summits of space mountains emerging from void. Momentariness of all may be only cause for meanigns and give reason to existence..Remembering Mr. Hofman when spinning this.record. Eetu Pellonpää

This particular double album kicks ass and would take a full page but suffice it to say that they are indeed great listeners, know each others strengths and each track here has it's own vibe and direction, only known in the present moment. They open up reality to make sure they are not limited by time as to see if they can achieve some sort of collective orgasmic crescendo. It seems happiness of the Collective and audience in the only rule. peace.
